Troy Cassar-Daley
Thursday 17th August 2017 - Gates from 6:00 PM | Show from 7:30 PM
Buchanan Park Events Complex

DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE CONCERT

Australian country music icon Troy Cassar-Daley will be LIVE in Mount Isa on August 17th to raise awareness of domestic violence.

The concert will also support White Ribbon Australia in its mission to end men's violence against women.

Domestic violence is an insidious issue harming families and communities, with one in three women experiencing abuse perpetrated by someone known to them, and at least one woman killed every week as a result of domestic violence.

"I'm proud to be supporting White Ribbon with my music and equally proud to be playing in front of another Mt Isa crowd," Cassar-Daley said.

The concert will also feature the local Emergency Services and defence band 'The Hoax'.

Sponsored by the Queensland Police Service in support of White Ribbon Australia, the concert will be held on August 17 at the Buchanan Park Complex. Gates open at 6pm with The Hoax performance starting at 6:30 and the Troy Cassar-Daley performance starting at 7:30pm.

White Ribbon is a national awareness group that advocates for domestic violence being a men's issue too. More than 200,000 Australian males have taken the White Ribbon Oath to stand up, speak out and prevent men's violence against women.
